Handmade rich red enamel drop earrings decorated with silver balls . The silver used in these earrings is 100% recycled and the ear wires are handmade. The earrings are enamel on copper with the reverse side left uncovered and polished to a high shine.
As the earrings are completely handmade they are truly unique.
The rich red colour of the earrings will add a splash of colour to any outfit.
Size: length 24mm, width approx. 14mm at widest point, overall length from top of ear wire 38mm.
How the were made: Copper is used to make the shape of the earrings, and once they are cut out, using a jeweller’s saw, they are cleaned and prepared ready for the powdered glass to be applied. Using a kiln and temperatures up to 800 degrees Celsius the powdered glass is fused to the copper to produce the vitreous enamel finish. Several layers are applied and fused to get the colour and pattern desired. The reverse of the earrings has been left uncovered and the copper is polished to a high shine. The earrings are suspended from handmade sterling silver ear wires.
