Description
A broken piece of Aynsley pottery plate is the centrepiece of this stunning upcycled bird patterned silver pendant. The bird and flower pattern are so pretty and colours so vibrant they make a unique pendant. A creative way of rescuing broken crockery and giving it a second life by transforming them into a pieces of jewellery to be treasured and enjoyed.
It has been set in a 100% recycled sterling silver surround and has a silver chain suspended via 3 rings.
This Anysley plate had seen better days so it was upcycled to a new life as trendy earrings and pendants, find other pieces of jewellery made from the plate in my shop.
My makers mark is registered with the London Assay Office and any of my silver jewellery of 7.78g and over will be hallmarked.
How they are made: The broken pottery is assessed for the areas of pattern that would look best as the pendant. It is cut out using a combination of tile cutter and grinder and hand files to create the aesthetically pleasing size and shape. A sterling silver mount is made to fit the piece of pottery which is soldered, sanded and polished prior to the pottery being added and burnished into place ready for it’s final polish.
Measurements: length of pendant 46.6mm, width 32.7mm and depth 5.78mm. Chain length 50cm (20″). If you require a different chain length please message me.
