Pink Mauve Enamel Drop Earrings

Description

Pretty shades of pink and mauve enamel earrings with a stylised mandala pattern.  The silver ear wires are handmade from 100% recycled sterling silver.  The enamel is on copper with the reverse of the piece showing the polished copper.

As the earrings are completely handmade they are truly unique.

Sweet earrings that will enhance any outfit and add a splash of colour.

Size: length 20mm, width 15mm, overall length from top of ear wire 36mm.

How the were made: Copper is used to make the shape of the earrings, and once they are cut out, using a jeweller’s saw, they are cleaned and prepared ready for the powdered glass to be applied. Using a kiln and temperatures up to 800 degrees Celsius the powdered glass is fused to the copper to produce the vitreous enamel finish. Several layers are applied and fused to get the colour and pattern desired. The reverse of the earrings is uncovered and the copper is polished to a high shine. The earrings are suspended from handmade sterling silver ear wires.
