Multi coloured pretty drop earrings that are made using the cloisonne enamel technique to create beautiful patterns. The array of colours used in these earrings really adds to the overall nature inspired design. A carefully handmade piece of jewellery to accentuate any outfit and as the earrings are completely handmade and decorated they are truly one-of-a-kind.
Cloisonne enamel is a decorative technique that has thin shaped metal strips (in this case silver) applied onto the copper base. This created compartments that can be filled with coloured enamel. The enamel is built up in layers and kiln fired, at temps of around 800 degrees Celsius, between each additional layer to fuse the powdered glass to the metal creating the vitreous enamel
The reverse of the earrings have been left as copper and polished to a high shine.
The earrings are fitted with handmade sterling silver ear wires, other fittings are available include those for non-pierced ears, message me for details.
Size: length 39mm, width 14mm, overall length from top of ear wire 55mm. The ear wires are made from 0.8mm diameter sterling silver wire.
